For individual learners who request a more specific learning experience such as several hours daily instead of one or two hours.
For candidates who have recently failed their test and require help on specific elements of the test or simply needs guidance for what is required in order to pass the practical driving test.
International and advanced drivers who require introduction to UK driving laws and regulations.
Drivers who have passed their test and want to gain confidence driving more safely will benefit from learning how to join and leave the motorway, effective use of mirrors, lane changing and understanding signs and speeds.
Training takes at least six hours with six modules:
In town
In all weather
On rural roads
At night
On dual carriageways
On motorways
Mock tests take you through the whole experience of a real driving test with me as an ex driving examiner.
The tests begins with a licence check and an eyesight check.
Tests last for approximately 30 minutes covering all legal requirements for legal category B (car), driving test and include manoeuvre, emergency stop and independent driving with sat nav or signs.
Tests will be conducted using official DVSA terminology used by examiners.
Preparations for extended driving test which consists of 1 hour driving covering all speed limits (20-70mph), the four manoeuvres, emergency stop and all legal requirements.
If you prefer to take the test using a car fitted with dual controls rather than your own car as it may not meet DVSA standards*, you are able to do so.
On the day I will meet you one hour before your test begins for you to have a 60 minutes driving lesson in order to get used to the car and what to expect from the actual driving test.
It is your responsibility to plan and book lessons and test.
You will be picked up and dropped off at home or chosen pick up/drop off location.
Once a lesson is booked you must inform me at least 48 hours before if you cannot attend the lesson.
In those circumstances we can then reschedule your lesson.
If you do not inform me 48 hours before then full lesson fee will be payable.
If I (instructor) cancel your lesson then the lesson will be rescheduled at a later date. If I turn up late for a lesson you will still get a full lesson or extra time will be added to your next lesson. If I turn up on time and you (the student) are late then the lost time will be deducted.
